See through Laces and Ribbons

Laces and ribbons are actually slimmer versions of the drapes. They also can be used as belts, but sometime they are stitched and tied into the dress to give an elegant look to any cloth. Even in Lingerie and other undergarments, see-through laces give that extra sexy outlook. See through laces and ribbons are also the top choice for events that needs romantic touch, like: wedding, marriage ceremony, honeymoon party. Sheer Overlay

Sheer overlay is an overlay transparent cloth used on non-transparent or silk clothes to give an elegant and sexy look. Usually, a single layer of see-through fabric is placed over silk clothes to give the finest and elegant look. You can find sheer overlay on most of the wedding gowns, because they are created to give a romantic look.

Layered See through Droppings

Layered see-through droppings are clothes that are layered on top of many transparent sheer cloths to create less transparency. This can be used both on top and skirts also. This is a layer of many see-through fabric that can be found in ballet dancer skirt, wedding gowns, other dancing skirts, etc.

See-through as it says, it allows you to see through certain exposed parts of the area of your body. See through Netting and Mesh

Nettings or Mesh are really not like sheer fabrics with fine weaving. They are weaved in heavy and loose knots to create gaps in fabrics that also allow you to see through. See-through netting and mesh can be used in almost all types of feminine clothes and fashion items to expose more area of the body.

See-through Intensity and Sheer Fabric Types and Categories - Part 2

Intensity of See-through

There are some clothes that can allow you to show 100% opacity of the exposed areas, while some can give you just a peek, while some can play hide and seek, while some can fool others as if you are exposing when there is nothing showing, but have people raise their eyebrow with a single word with an exclaim nation mark: “wow”! There are many ways you can classify see-through and sheer fabric. But, in terms of how much you can see through, the see-through and sheer fabric can be divided in categories like:

Full Transparent See through

Full Transparent see through is not possible with natural fibers. Moreover, to achieve the transparency, you need to sacrifice some fiber strength, which makes natural fibers more vulnerable if you want to achieve maximum level of see-through. However, with Plastics and Synthetic fibers, 100% see through clothing is easily possible. Being made from synthetic fibers, the fabric is slippery and the clothes are also sewn into dress, not used as unstitched garments.  Sometimes semi-transparent see-through fabric can become 100% transparent when they are wet. But, they really should be in separate category.

Semi Transparent See through

Semi transparent see through are the most common types of see through fabric we see today as well as we see in the middle age feminine portraits. These fabrics can be easily made from natural fibers. These types of fabrics have the maximum see through properties you can have from natural fibers. Moreover, they also can be used as unstitched garments like: scarfs, drape, ribbons, etc.

Translucent See Through

Translucent see through fabrics are less see through fabrics that has less visibility through the fabric. But, they do allow some portion of the body to be exposed. They are most often a good choice for many inner garments for wedding dresses. For having thicker weaving than semi-transparent sheer fabrics, they can be easy to manipulate for tailoring.

See through Texture Fabric

These fabrics actually are not much of a see through, since they are thick. But, they do have a silky texture with see-through flavor made of silk, linen, velvet, etc. Usually many thick silk fabrics can have textures that can make a fabric look like it’s a see through fabric. But, when they are wet, they do show more see-through behavior, but actually does not expose much of the body.

See through fashion has been around from the middle-ages. With the advancement of fine weaving technology, see-through fabrics and clothes has been a fascination for women from ages. From Greek Goddess to middle age feminine portraits to present day pop goddess like Lady Gaga, see through fashion is really a never ending trend. See through fashion has been the mark of royalty for ages and also the mark of elegance in present age. So, a touch of see through in any sort of clothes brings a royal and elegant touch to fashion. The reason is simple; they look way too sexy and expensive.

See-through Fibers and Fabrics

Starting from Muslin to Chiffon, the demand for see through clothes has been a wild desire for both men and women throughout ages. Fine weaving technology has introduced many fibers and fiber blends into the trend of see-through and sheer fabrics, starting from cotton to silk.
